April is Autism Acceptance Month; events to take place throughout the month

April is Autism Acceptance Month, and the Interdisciplinary Autism Initiative will host several events for faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members.  

This series of empowering and educational events will highlight our commitment to neurodiverse people.  

  • April 15, noon | Virtual Autism Initiative Open House
    Featuring the work of faculty and students who are members of the Initiative.
     
  • April 22 | Virtual Community Panel
    Featuring caregivers and autistic self-advocates
     
  • April 29 | Virtual Film Screening
    The film is focused on autism. Free popcorn and candy swag bags will be provided.
     

A new Autism Initiative podcast featuring the expertise of autistic individuals will also premiere in April.  

All events are free, virtual, and open to the Marquette community and the public.
