The Marquette University Committee on Equity and Inclusion will host a virtual “Symposium on Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice” on Friday, April 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The theme of the event is “Spaces for Healing, Spaces for Action.” The symposium will explore issues of inequality and injustice as it relates to current events as well as how these issues impact the Milwaukee and Marquette communities. The symposium serves as an “institutional examen” – a time for the Marquette community to look inwardly at who we are and who we are called to be.
All faculty, staff, students, alumni and other campus stakeholders are invited to attend for all or part of the day as schedules permit.
