Marquette partners with ‘The Beijing Center’ to smooth transfer process

Marquette has established a formal transfer partnership with The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies (TBC) to better serve international transfer students and facilitate the transfer process.

As the only Jesuit center and intellectual hub in Mainland China, TBC offers opportunities for a distinctive experience delving in Chinese culture with a focus on education and creation of multicultural connections through the guidance of our Jesuit spirit.

This guaranteed admission agreement allows qualified students to plan their transfer in advance by drawing on Marquette’s advising resources to ensure a smooth transition. Qualified students are guaranteed admission to nearly any Marquette undergraduate program. The American Pathway Program at TBC is focused and rigorous and designed for Chinese students who are interested in obtaining a bachelor’s degree in the United States. American Pathway students spend one to two years taking transferable Marquette courses at TBC while preparing themselves for their eventual transfer.

Marquette now offers a guaranteed admission option to students from eight community colleges:

  • College of Lake County (Illinois)
  • Milwaukee Area Technical College (Wisconsin)
  • City Colleges of Chicago (Illinois)
  • McHenry County College (Illinois)
  • Elgin Community College (Illinois)
  • Joliet Junior College (Illinois)
  • Oakton Community College (Illinois)
  • The Bejing Center of Chinese Studies

Marquette’s is committed to continuing to provide clear pathways for student transfer from community colleges. The university continues to identify strategic transfer partnerships with community colleges around the world.
