Global Medical Brigades seeking old eyeglasses and empty pill bottles; donate through the end of April

Global Brigades is a nonprofit health and sustainable development organization that works with volunteers to partner with communities to reduce inequalities.

Marquette’s Global Medical Brigades is focused on expanding the brigade to include vision care and is actively taking steps to keep the brigade environmentally friendly.

We are seeking old eyeglasses and empty pill bottles throughout the month of April. All prescription glasses, reading glasses and sunglasses will be accepted and taken to the medical brigade’s optometry station. Pill bottles must be cleared of personal information. They will then be used to distribute medications on the brigade.

Donation boxes can be found on the first floor of Schroeder Complex and the AMU during the month of April. Individuals unable to make it to these locations should email Marquette Global Brigades for more information.
