Beyond MU: Lifelong Learning will host a webinar titled “The Science that Heals: An Inside Look at Marquette’s Neuro Recovery Clinic,” Wednesday, March 31, from noon to 1 p.m.
This session will focus on Marquette’s Neuro Recovery Clinic (NRC) — a first-in-the-state facility that embodies the university’s pillars of excellence, leadership and service through impacts on Marquette students and the community.
Attendees will learn from clinic faculty and a current physical therapy student about how they are making a difference for adults and children coping with disorders from spinal cord and brain injuries to degenerative diseases like Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
The webinar will be presented by:
- Dr. Allison Hyngstrom, professor and chair of the physical therapy department
- Dr. Sheila Schindler-Ivens, associate professor of physical therapy
- Kim DeChant, PT, DPT, NCS, physical therapist and clinic coordinator for the Neuro Recovery Clinic
- Ryan Callison, physical therapy student
The panel will be moderated by Dr. William E. Cullinan, professor and dean of the Marquette College of Health Sciences and director of the Integrative Neuroscience Research Center.
