AHPRC to launch Summer Student Research Initiative; proposals due April 12

The Athletic and Human Performance Research Center (AHPRC) is preparing to launch the 2021 Summer Student Research Initiative (SSRI) aimed at growing research in pediatric health and human performance.

Five faculty-student teams will receive $5,000 each to conduct research from Monday, May 24, through Friday, July 30. The goal of this initiative is to create a toolkit of best practice pediatric assessments and interventions that can be utilized within the AHPRC to assess and improve pediatric health and human performance.

Proposals are due Monday, April 12, and successful candidate teams will be notified the following week. For more information, visit the AHPRC’s website.

With questions, contact Dr. Sandra Hunter, director of the AHPRC, or Mike Haischer, research lab manager for the AHPRC.
