Sign up to attend Ignite, Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.

February 1, 2021

The Ignite group meets weekly on Wednesdays, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Students may join virtually or in-person at the Chapel of the Holy Family.

Those looking for a space to connect with others, strengthen your relationship with God, explore ways to live a faith that does justice or make time for prayer, are welcome to check out Ignite.

Ignite’s new schedule, with upcoming speakers, can be found on the Campus Ministry website.

Upcoming events include:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m., via Zoom | Dr. Kate Ward, assistant professor of theology, will explore “Virtue Exemplars for Hard Times: St. Katharine Drexel and Malcolm X,” and will discuss how the witnesses of these two leaders might offer hope for us today. Dr. Ward’s research at Marquette focuses on economic ethics, virtue ethics and ethical method.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m., via Zoom | Rev. Gregory Boyle, S.J., founder of Homeboy Industries, the world’s largest gang rehabilitation and re-entry program, will talk about “Radical Kinship and Hope.”

Sign up online. With questions, contact Steve Blaha, assistant director of campus ministry.
