Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., virtual prayer service is Jan. 28

The Marquette community is invited to a virtual prayer service commemorating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The service will be held on Thursday, Jan, 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Participants will be invited to reflect on the words of Dr. King and other civil rights leaders, which will be read aloud by fellow members of the Marquette community. The readings will be interspersed with prayer led by members of Marquette’s Jesuit community and music by:

  • Tom Koester, assistant director of campus ministry
  • Darwin Sanders, microcomputer technician, Raynor Library
  • Steve Burks, director of gospel choir
