The Marquette community is invited to a virtual prayer service commemorating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The service will be held on Thursday, Jan, 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Participants will be invited to reflect on the words of Dr. King and other civil rights leaders, which will be read aloud by fellow members of the Marquette community. The readings will be interspersed with prayer led by members of Marquette’s Jesuit community and music by Darwin Sanders, Tom Koester and Steven Burks.
The prayer service is sponsored by Raynor Memorial Libraries, the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of Mission and Ministry, Campus Ministry, the Center for Peacemaking and the Department of English.
