Ignite will host Gloria Purvis, host of EWTN’s “Morning Glory,” for a presentation and discussion titled “Confronting White Privilege” on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m.

The event will explore Catholic foundations for anti-racism and racial justice work in an engaging and encouraging space.
Purvis is a graduate of Cornell University. She worked for nearly two decades in the mortgage industry before becoming a risk management director at a major financial services company. Purvis served on the National Black Catholic Congress’ Leadership Commission on Social Justice. She served on the advisory board of the Maryland Catholic Conference’s Respect for Life Department as well as the Archdiocese of Washington’s Pastoral Council.
