‘How to conduct culturally sensitive research – Part 2’ webinar is Nov. 9

As a part of the COVID-19 Research Initiative, a webinar titled “How to conduct culturally sensitive research – Part 2” will take place on Monday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. 

The webinar will discuss the importance of conducting culturally sensitive research, utilizing humility in relationship building and the importance of broadening our understanding of the term “expertise” beyond the university. 

Panelists will discuss their own research and the processes by which they go about engaging communities in Milwaukee and beyond.  

The webinar will be moderated by Sameena Mulla, associate professor of social and cultural sciences.  

Panelists include: 

  • Dr. Robert Smith, Harry G. John Professor of history, director of the Center for Urban Research, Teaching and Outreach 
  • Dr. Karen Robinsonassociate professor of nursing, director of the Nurse-Midwifery Program
