Sabbatical plan submissions for AY 2021-22 due Oct. 15 

Faculty eligible for sabbaticals in the 2021-22 academic year are reminded to submit their sabbatical review plans to the Office of the Provost by Thursday, Oct15.  

Faculty should check with their dean’s office /college to confirm their timeline and application deadline.

It is essential that faculty members submit their plans by the Oct. 15 deadline to allow sufficient time for academic units to coordinate schedule and staffing adjustments for the following academic year.

Sabbatical plans must be approved by the unit dean or designated representative before submission.  

Faculty members who completed their sabbaticals during the 2019 – 2020 academic year are also reminded to submit their sabbatical reports to the Office of the Provost by the Oct. 15 deadline. Sabbatical reports must also be approved by the unit dean or designated representative before submission.  

The Sabbatical Review Committee will be chaired by Dr. Barrett McCormick, professor of political science in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences. The Sabbatical Review Committee includes eight tenured members of the regular faculty and distributed to assure representation of a variety of scholarly disciplines.
