Reminder regarding sophomore housing agreements

The following message was shared directly with sophomore students on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020:

Dear students,

This message serves as a reminder that any sophomore student who signed a university housing agreement and did not receive an approved exemption in August 2020 must honor that agreement for the entire 2020-21 academic year. Your housing agreement is the signed commitment you made to live in a university-owned residence hall. Any sophomore student who vacates his or her residence hall will be charged room and board fees in full.

Further, please be advised that Marquette University has returned to its regular housing requirement policies. The housing exemption option that was offered in August is no longer available.

Lastly, please know we will share more information next month, by the conclusion of spring 2021 course registration, regarding the housing process for students who are taking classes fully online for spring 2021.

Residence Life policies and procedures, including the COVID-19 addendum and housing agreement terms and conditions, are available online.

Respectfully,

Dr. Xavier Cole
Vice president for student affairs
