The Department of Human Resources and the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion worked together to create a guide for diverse, inclusive and equity-minded hiring practices.
These resources are designed as a complement to the Office of the Provost’s faculty search and hiring process and an additional resource for any faculty or staff hire.
They include practical guidance for:
- Understanding and counteracting implicit biases
- Interviewing and reviewing candidates
- Onboarding new employees.
This guide provides evidence-based practices for conducting an equitable and inclusive search that attracts the broadest possible pool of highly qualified candidates.
