Academic Integrity Council seeking students to serve on Hearing Board Committee; applications due Sept. 15

The Academic Integrity Council (AIC) is seeking students to join the Hearing Board Committee, which oversees cases of academic misconduct.

AIC is looking for students who adhere to the following values:

  • Honesty
  • Trust
  • Fairness
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Students with a passion for social justice and equity, and have courage to act on these values in the face of adversity

The Hearing Board is responsible for listening to testimony and evidence presented by the council’s investigative officers. They then must come to a conclusion regarding the merit of the case.

Students who join will receive proper training to serve on the Hearing Board Committee.

Being a member of AIC is a great way to learn more about Marquette as an institution while connecting with faculty and other campus leaders. It’s also a great experience to  include on a professional or educational resume.

Due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, meetings will be virtual for the 2020-21 academic year. The position requires no prerequisites and is a minimal time requirement position.

If interested, students should email academicintegritycouncil@marquette.edu by Tuesday, Sept. 15.
