Marquette’s Supply Chain Management programs ranked in top 15 nationally

Undergraduate, graduate programs are highest ranked in Wisconsin and Illinois

Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT), the world’s leading research and advisory company, in its latest supply chain management program rankings, has named Marquette’s undergraduate program No. 12 in North America, up from 16th two years ago. The university’s new online master’s in supply chain management enters the rankings for the first time at No. 15.

The two programs are now the highest ranked supply chain programs in Wisconsin and Illinois.

“The College of Business Administration could not be more thrilled with the recent Gartner ranking of College Supply Chain programs,” said Tim Hanley, interim Keyes Dean of Business Administration. “Those employers hiring our graduates tell us how prepared they are for the challenges they face early in their careers. I believe the increasing interest in our supply chain program tells us we are building something special.”

Todd Filter, group vice president, supply chain and logistics, Direct Supply, Inc., agrees.

“As an alumnus of the program, and an active advisory board member going on 20 years, it has been remarkable to see the growth, quality, and national respect of the program skyrocket over that time,” he said. “Direct Supply relies on the Marquette Supply Chain program to produce tremendous talent for our core supply chain and operations teams, and we have had incredible success in those we have hired over the years. I am beyond proud to be affiliated with the program and cannot wait to see how far it will continue to go.”

Craig Schaeffer, executive, order fulfillment digital and process excellence, GE, Inc., and member of the programs advisory board echoed Filter’s sentiments.

“Marquette’s Center for Supply Chain Management, and its undergraduate and graduate programs, continues to raise the bar,” he said. “These programs are producing quality graduates that really understand supply chain concepts, enter the workforce with strong experience, and can connect the dots. It is great to see recognition of the evolution, with the continued move up the Gartner rankings.”

The programs are affiliated with Marquette’s Center for Supply Chain Management, which partners with companies to provide students with applied learning experiences, offers corporate and executive education and industry research.
