From Provost Ah Yun and Dr. Cole: Update your current address in CheckMarq

August 19, 2020

Dear students,

Preparations are ongoing for the return to campus and the start of the fall semester. Our faculty and staff continue their hard work implementing precautions and procedures to protect the safety and well-being of every member of the Marquette community.

With that in mind, and in consultation with the Office of the Registrar, we are asking all students to provide their current address in CheckMarq. This address should be where you are residing while completing classes this fall semester, which would generally differ from your permanent home address unless you are a commuting or fully online student.

The need for this information is twofold. It will assist the university with its contact tracing efforts and provide an added measure to ensure proper receipt of safety and emergency notifications.

To update your CheckMarq account:

  1. Log in to CheckMarq and click or tap the Profile tile.
  2. Click or tap the Addresses link in the left navigation menu.
  3. Select the Add Current Address button.
  4. Enter your current address information and click save.

It is very important to have this information in place prior to the start of classes. We urge all students who are not residing in a campus residence hall or university-operated apartments to take a few minutes and enter their current address in CheckMarq.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kimo Ah Yun
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

Dr. Xavier Cole
Vice President for Student Affairs
