Marquette University mourns the loss of 2020 honors graduate Christina Curtis, who passed away on Tuesday, July 21. She was 23.
Curtis graduated in May with bachelor’s degrees in biomedical sciences and psychology. She was a member of the University Honors program and the Honors in Psychology program. She was also the recipient of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Award for Outstanding Student and Community Service and a member of Psi Chi: The National Honor Society in Psychology.
The university profiled Curtis for heroically carrying out her studies while undergoing a lung transplant.
A visitation will be held today — Thursday, July 23, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 8025 W. Golf Road, in Niles, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, at 9 a.m. starting at the funeral home and on to St. John Brebeuf Church, 8307 N. Harlem Ave., Niles. A Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Interment Maryhill Cemetery, 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.
