The Division of Digital Learning team and the Center for Teaching and Learning will host two three-week training and discussion sessions to help faculty members prepare for the fall 2020 semester. The first session will begin June 15 and the second session will begin July 13.
Each week, faculty members will be invited to attend a number of different sessions:
- Two sessions will be devoted to designing or facilitating a course that includes remote elements (Training 1 and Training 2)
- Two sessions will focus on using D2L effectively (D2L Training 1 and D2L Training 2)
- Two sessions will promote topical and open dialogue among faculty participants (Topical Discussion Series and Standing Pedagogy Coffee and Cocktails)
This schedule is designed to offer a targeted range of issues, ideas and practical tips to help prepare faculty members. Whether individuals have little to no experience using D2L as a learning platform, or individuals are advanced users, all will find these sessions to be useful not only practically but also to connect with other faculty to discuss different pedagogical strategies and issues for fall 2020 and beyond.
