President’s Challenge to host ‘Innovating in Uncertain Times,’ May 29

In partnership with American Family Insurance and Johnson Controls, the President’s Challenge will host a a virtual event titled “Innovating in Uncertain Times” on Friday, May 29, at 9 a.m. CT.

During a crisis like COVID-19, it becomes increasingly apparent that there are equity gaps and systemic problems that need to be addressed through new ideas and partnerships. Join leaders from Marquette University, American Family Insurance and Johnson Controls as they discuss how innovating in times of uncertainty can open up new avenues for creativity, enhance collaboration with community partners and create sustainable change.

Attendees will learn how these leaders approach challenges, and each panelist will share their own best practices, insights and stories to inspire others to create meaningful impact.

The session will be moderated by Kyle Hagge, Innovators on Tap producer.

Panelists include:

  • Grady Crosby, senior executive driving public affairs and diversity strategies at Johnson Controls
  • Leana Nakielski, strategic partnerships director at American Family
  • Kelsey Otero, associate director of social innovation for Marquette’s 707 Hub
  • Rob Smith, professor of history and director of the Center for Urban Research Teaching and Outreach at Marquette University
