Alpha Sigma Nu is an honor society for students at Jesuit colleges and universities who distinguish themselves in scholarship, loyalty and service. The honor society includes 32 student chapters around the globe, in addition to numerous alumni clubs.
Each year in October, the honor society celebrates “Alpha Sigma Nu Day,” a day dedicated to celebrating the society, its members, and spreading awareness about ΑΣΝ’s mission.
Last semester, Marquette’s chapter celebrated by tabling in the AMU for the day — executive board leaders and members members set up a “Alpha Sigma Nu Day” station with swag giveaways, trivia games and “big heads” for students to take pictures with. University leaders and members from the Jesuit community attended in support. View photos from the day on Instagram.
Marquette’s Alpha Sigma Nu chapter was recognized by the ΑΣΝ international office and received the “2020 Alpha Sigma Nu Chapter of Excellence Award for Alpha Sigma Nu Day.” Marquette was honored on the international office’s Instagram Live earlier this month.
Other Alpha Sigma Nu awards such as “Overall Chapter of the Year,” “Best Scholarship Programming,” “Best Loyalty Programming” and “Best Service Programming” are listed on the Alpha Sigma Nu website.
