SPARK sessions move to a fully virtual format this summer

SPARK (Summer Priority Advising and Registration Kick-off), a mandatory orientation program for all new first-year students as a part of their transition to Marquette, will become “SPARK @ Home” this summer, as its sessions move to a fully virtual format in response to the coronavirus pandemic stay-at-home orders and social distancing best practices.

SPARK’s practical applications will not change. New students will still meet (remotely) with student leaders, university staff and college representatives to assist in registering for classes. Session dates also remain in the same weeks of June:

  • Session 1: June 2-3
  • Session 2: June 7-8
  • Session 3: June 9-10
  • Session 4: June 11-12
  • Session 5: June 15-16
  • Session 6: June 17-18

More information about the SPARK @ Home schedule will be available on May 1, 2020. Incoming first-year students should register for a SPARK @ Home session of their choice prior to May 22 and will receive additional, personalized details in their Marquette email.

Registration will begin on May 1 and registration links will be available on the student’s Marquette Student Status page after payment of tuition deposit.
