Political science professor named research consultant for national association

Dr. Paul Nolette, associate professor of political science and chair of the Political Science Department, has been named the research consultant for the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI).

NAGTRI was established in 2007 with the intent to provide high-quality and innovative training, research and developmental resources to support state and territorial attorneys general offices.

In his new role, Dr. Nolette will publish data and visualizations on the duties of the nation’s attorneys general. He will also conduct research on issues and policies that are crucial to NAGTRI’s work.

Dr. Nolette’s teaching and research focuses on the dynamics of contemporary American federalism and the interplay between politics and law. He received a Ph. D. in political science from Boston College, a J.D. from the Georgetown University and a bachelor of arts degree from Saint Anselm College. Following law school, Dr. Nolette worked in a litigation law firm and served as the legal counsel for the Labor and Workforce Development Committee in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
