Given Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers’ safer-at-home order, Marquette University has made the difficult decision to close the Marquette University Child Care Center, effective Friday, March 27.
All current MUCCC children will have their spots reserved and no family will be charged tuition while the center is closed. The center will open again when it is safe to do so, in accordance with local and state health directives.
Any family that needs to pick up personal belongings from the MUCCC should do so during normal business hours, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and no later than noon on Friday, March 27.
For those with dependent care flexible spending accounts, there is flexibility allowed to temporarily pause dependent care FSA deductions in the event of the childcare services being unavailable or closed.
The MUCCC apologizes for any additional worry that this announcement causes during an already stressful time.
