Violence and mental health seminar is Feb. 19

The Community of Practice for Public Health Equity will host a panel on violence and mental health on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from noon to 1 p.m., in The Commons, Room 216. 

The Community of Practice for Public Health Equity is a multidisciplinary team of faculty who share the goal of improving the teaching and learning of public health equity at Marquette and is supported by a Way Klingler Teaching Enhancement Award. 

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Michael Levas, vice chair of diversity and inclusion, associate professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW)
  • Dr. Terri A. deRoon Cassini, associate professor, health psychologist at MCW
  • Arnitta Holliman, ReCAST program manager in the Office of Violence Prevention at the City of Milwaukee Health Department

The event is open to all faculty and students who may be interested in learning about public health equity, violence and mental health.
