Student info session on Milwaukee hosting the DNC 2020 is Feb. 27

The Department of Political Science and the Convention Steering Committee will host a student information session about how to find DNC-related internship opportunities and what to expect if they plan to be in Milwaukee during the DNC this July. The event will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Sensenbrenner Hall’s Eisenberg Reading Room.

Speakers will provide information about how Milwaukee hosting the DNC will affect Milwaukee and Marquette; walk through how to use the Handshake app to find internships, volunteer and temporary work opportunities related to the convention; offer an update on student housing this summer; and provide information on voter registration and poll worker opportunities.

This event is free; register via Eventbrite. A separate information session will be held for faculty and staff.
