Coyne Lecture will focus on gravitational waves and black holes, Feb. 18

The Physics Department will host the Coyne Lecture on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Weasler Auditorium.  

Dr. Laura Cadonati, associate professor at the School of Physics at Georgia Institute of Technology, will discuss the discovery of gravitational waves, black holes, neutron stars, the history of the universe and future prospects for the exploration of the universe with gravitational waves. Cadonati is also the former deputy spokesperson of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration.
