Brazilian Carnival event will honor Afro Latino music and culture, March 8

As a supporter of Bembé Drum and Dancea cultural performing arts program in Milwaukee, Marquette is proud to promote Bembé’s Brazilian Carnival event on Sunday, March 8, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at No Studios (1037 West McKinley Avenue). 

Bembé Drum and Drance inspires music and performance skills, intergenerational connection, and cultural identity exploration through Afro Latino musical culture. 

The Brazilian Carnival will celebrate and honor the Carnaval traditions of Bahia and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the Bembé youth drum batucada, live samba dancers and special guests Samba da Vida. Thevent will include film, food, art activities and more.
