This Friday, Aug. 18, media are welcome attend a swearing-in ceremony for two new members of the Marquette University Police Department: Nattie, a dog who will serve the department in a community outreach role, and Carolina Seidl, a new officer who brought Nattie to the department from a shelter.
Nattie, who previously lived with officer Seidl, now will live full-time at MUPD headquarters and be cared for by MUPD officers.
