The Haggerty Museum of Art is participating in Milwaukee Museum Days, an initiative of Visit Milwaukee. From Thursday, Jan. 19, to Sunday, Jan. 29, many local museums will offer special admission rates and events in celebration of Milwaukee’s cultural institutions.
The Haggerty will celebrate by offering free admission from Friday, Jan. 20 to Sunday, Jan. 29. Marquette students, faculty and staff are always free. It’s the perfect time to check out the museum’s new exhibitions.
The exhibitions individually and collectively engage socially relevant topics that were created in close collaboration with Marquette faculty members Dr. Somesh Roy, assistant professor of mechanical engineering in the Opus College of Engineering; Dr. Jacob J. Capin, assistant professor of physical therapy in the College of Health Sciences; Dr. Samantha Majhor, assistant professor of English in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences; Dr. Conor M. Kelly, associate professor and chair of theology in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences; and the nine faculty members contributing to the exhibition “Basic Needs and Justice: The Pursuit of Human Flourishing.”
