Brewed Ideas Challenge to take place April 26

April 18, 2017

 The Brewed Ideas Challenge, a student pitch competition, will take place on Wednesday, April 26, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the 707 Hub. Eleven finalists will pitch their ideas for prize money totaling $17,000. A reception and awards ceremony will follow. Registration is available online. Promentis raises $26 million

Promentis Pharmaceuticals, a Milwaukee company co-founded by Drs. John Mantsch and David Baker, professors in the Biomedical Sciences Department, raised $26 million, including $17.2 million in its third round of funding. New innovation space, 707 Hub, to host opening ceremony on March 27

The new 707 Hub, located on the first floor of the 707 Building, will host an opening ceremony on Monday, March 27, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. A brief program with remarks from university leadership and student innovators will begin at 4:15 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Register online.
