Doris Walker-Dalhouse writes standards for preparation of literacy professionals

Dr. Doris Walker-Dalhouse, professor of educational policy and leadership, was part of a team of 28 literacy experts that helped write Standards for the Preparation of Literacy Professionals 2017 (Standards 2017)—the first-ever set of national standards guiding the preparation of literacy professionals.

Volunteers needed to welcome students during move-in

Kyana Young awarded Shepherd Express hero of the week

Dr. Kyana Young has been named the Shepherd Express hero of the week. Young is a post-doctoral scholar in the Opus College of Engineering Water Quality Center, and the manager of the Marquette University Global Water Center facility in Walker’s Point. Young’s passion is finding solutions for safe water to improve global and public health.

New on-campus parking permit fees for faculty and staff

New on-campus parking permit fees for faculty and staff will go into effect July 1 for 2018-19. The fees for full-time, 10- and 12-month employees will be $69 per month.
