Amazing Faiths Dinner: ‘Welcoming the Stranger,’ Nov. 17

All students are invited to an Amazing Faiths Dinner on Monday, Nov. 17, at 5:30 p.m. in the AMU Lunda Room. Enjoy a free Mediterranean vegetarian dinner, engaging conversations with peers and opportunities to learn more about the beliefs and practices of a variety of faith traditions.

The focus of this interfaith dinner dialogue is “Welcoming the Stranger,” which will explore how religions create spaces of welcome and encourage inclusivity throughout society. For many faith communities, “Welcoming the Stranger” includes their teachings on immigration and care for refugees.

Table conversations will be facilitated by representatives of the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee.

The dinner is co-sponsored by Campus Ministry, Canterbury Fellowship, Center for Peacemaking, Cru, Hillel MKE, Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Jewish Student Union, Muslim Student Association and Orthodox Christian Fellowship.

No RSVP is needed.
