More than 85% of Marquette students are vaccinated; faculty and staff reminded to upload proof of vaccine

As of Aug. 1, our data show that more than 85% of Marquette students enrolled for fall 2021 have submitted proof of vaccination for COVID-19, effectively reaching scientifically accepted herd immunity for our student population. A small number of students are still noncompliant with the vaccine requirement — they will receive personal phone calls this week to help bring them into compliance.

The majority of faculty and staff have also voluntarily submitted their proof of vaccination. There will be incentives and giveaways throughout the month for any faculty and staff who submit or have submitted their proof of vaccination.

If you still need to upload your proof of vaccination, you should do so at mymedicalclinic.mu.edu — it only takes a minute or two. Once you’ve logged into the Medical Clinic portal, you will need to enter your vaccine dates under the “Immunizations” tab and upload a copy of your vaccine card or other proof of vaccination under the “Upload” tab.

Students who wish to request an exemption for medical, religious or personal conviction reasons, email immunizations@marquette.edu as soon as possible. Please include your name, MUID number, and which type of exemption you are requesting (medical, religious or personal conviction). We will then respond to you with the correct form to fill out and return. Please know that a physician’s signature is required for the medical exemption.

As a reminder, those students who are granted an exemption will have to undergo regular COVID-19 testing on campus, as well as complete the daily COVID Cheq symptom screening process.

More information and guidance is available on the COVID-19 website.
