U.S. News and World Report recently released its 2022 “Best Graduate School” rankings, and several Marquette programs moved up in rankings, particularly those in business, nursing, engineering and law.
The Graduate School of Management’s executive MBA program earned the No. 15 spot in its category, up from No. 16 the previous year. Similarly, the school’s part-time MBA program is now ranked No. 46, up seven spots from last year.
The College of Nursing’s Master of Science program is now ranked No. 60 (previously No. 69), while its Doctorate program rank moved down to No. 82 (previously No. 69).
The Opus College of Engineering’s mechanical engineering program jumped up nine spots from 2021’s rankings to No. 127. The college’s computer engineering program also moved up five spots to No. 114, and its biomedical (No. 70) and civil engineering (No. 107) programs also saw rankings boosts. Its electrical and environmental dropped in the rankings: electrical is now at No. 119 (previously No. 106), environmental is at No. 70 (previously No. 68).
In the Law School, the intellectual property program comes in at No. 52, up 25 spots from 2020, and the school’s dispute resolution program holds steady at No. 8. The Law School’s overall ranking is No. 103, down one spot from 2021, while its part-time program comes in at No. 33 and its legal writing program dropped four spots from last year to No. 16.
The College of Education this year is ranked No. 148 (previously No. 112).
The Klingler College of Arts and Sciences’ history program comes in at No. 113, up one spot from 2018 and the college’s English program rankings is No. 108, down from No. 85 also in 2018 — the last time the programs were ranked.
Not all graduate programs are ranked every year by U.S. News. Some health sciences and science and humanities disciplines are ranked approximately every three years.
