Office of the Provost seeking applications and nominations for director of Marquette Core Curriculum

The Office of the Provost is currently seeking applications and nominations for the new director of the Marquette Core Curriculum (MCC).

Current Acting Director Dr. James Marten will complete his term after the spring 2020 semester. This 12-month, half-time temporary position will begin summer 2020 and end with the completion of the spring 2023 term.

The director of the MCC will have a unique opportunity to help shape undergraduate education at Marquette. This position reports to the vice provost for Academic Affairs. A full list of responsibilities and requirements is online.

To nominate someone or submit an application, contact Dr. John Su, vice provost for Academic Affairs.

A full application should include:

  1. A letter of interest addressing the specific position requirements
  2. Curriculum vitae
  3. Two letters of reference from individuals who can speak to the applicant’s curricular experience and effectiveness as a leader.

To discuss the position further or send application materials, contact Dr. Su.

A review of applications will begin Jan. 27 and continue until the the position is filled.

Please note: the applicant’s dean must approve the assignment prior to appointment if the candidate is a Marquette adjunct or participating faculty member.
