In partnership with the College of Education, the Law School will host, “Taking on the Early Childhood Disadvantage,” a half day conference taking place this Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Eckstein Hall’s Lubar Center.
The conference will provide insight from national experts and from people trying to improve the achievement gap in Milwaukee. Speakers include Dana Suskind, M.D., co-director of the TMW Center for Early Learning and Public Health at the University of Chicago, and Katherine Magnuson, Ph.D., director of the University of Wisconsin Institute for Research on Poverty and an expert on the impact of poverty on children.
