The Center for Peacemaking will sponsor the “Trauma of Torture” conference from Nov. 15-16. Events will take place in the AMU and the Haggerty Museum of Art.
The two-day conference will address the prevalence of torture in prisons, detention centers and counter terrorism operations. Researchers, activists and survivors will discuss the traumatic that torture has on survivors, the community and society.
