The university conducted an Employee Engagement Survey from April 15 through May 10, 2019. It received 1,349 total responses (a 45 percent response rate). This is an 11 percent increase from the last survey completed in 2017.
Thank you to those who participated— engagement is important, as student success depends on both faculty and staff engagement. We are best able to deliver on the university’s mission and strategy when we have engaged employees who help us make Marquette the best it can be.
Survey questions focused on the following categories:
• Strategy, culture, communication and accountability
• Change management and collaboration
• Supervisor/boss relationship and work environment
• Overall satisfaction rating supervisor/boss
• Overall satisfaction rating Marquette University
Responses were anonymous and results are being used to identify and address those areas of engagement which are strengths as well as those that are opportunities for improvement.
A full report with the results and findings is online. HR will share area-specific results with deans and vice presidents who had a response rate of at least 10 or more. Additionally, engagement action planning with individual units/leaders will kick off soon.
