Project Night Night, a staff volunteer group that assembles comfort tote bags for the local homeless community, is seeking donations of blankets.
Comfort tote bags include a blanket, book and stuffed animal and are given to children residing in five homeless shelters across Milwaukee.
Project Night Night recently donated 60 tote bags in May and 60 bags in October. The group is in need of more blankets in order to fill the next batch of donations in time for the upcoming holidays and winter season. Donate by Nov. 29 to help them achieve this goal.
Donations labeled for Project Night Night may be dropped off at the Information Desk in the AMU. Contact Edi Kuhn for more information.
Blanket criteria:
- Blankets must be new
- Blankets must be no larger than 50″ x 50″
- Stuffed animals and books may be new or “like new”
Donations will also be accepted after Nov. 29 on a rolling basis.
