The Ott Memorial Writing Center is recruiting new undergraduate peer tutors. A peer tutor is a paid campus job. Nominations are due Wednesday, Oct. 16, and applications from interested students are due Friday, Oct. 25.
To nominate students, send their name, email address and a few sentences elaborating on your nomination to Jenn Fishman, acting director of the Ott Memorial Writing Center.
Information sessions for students will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and Thursday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m. in Raynor Memorial Libraries, Room 245. Interviews will be conducted the week of Monday, Nov. 4, and will conclude on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Before a student can become a peer tutor, they must successfully complete the interview process, as well as pass “ENGL 4230,” offered each spring. Students who plan to graduate this academic year, or students who will be studying abroad during the spring term, are not eligible to apply.
