The Office of Marketing and Communication today launched a redesigned homepage.
To serve the homepage’s many and varied audiences and deliver information to users quickly, OMC’s web team designed the new homepage to be more cohesive, clear and engaging, while meeting the wide-ranging needs of a diverse demographic.
In addition to collaborating with IT Services on the project, OMC sought feedback from the campus community on early versions of the page to refine the design and content strategy.
Based on best practices, the new homepage is primarily focused on the needs of Marquette’s external audiences, particularly prospective students. The design also takes into consideration the unique needs of online, international and pre-professional students.
Additional highlights include:
- Alumni giving and achievements
- Innovation and research across the disciplines
- The impact of corporate and community partnerships
The site’s popular “A-Z list” and “search” tools are still available in the top banner and in the footer of the new page.
OMC’s web team will continue to collect feedback and iterate the design over the next few months. Submit feedback online. Additionally, the new design will eventually be rolled out to other key areas of marquette.edu.
