The Center of Engagement and Inclusion and Campus Ministry invite the campus community to attend the following events this week in celebration of Día de Muertos.
Nichos y Nachos | Oct. 21-25 in the CEI (AMU 121)
Beginning on Oct. 21 at noon, students, faculty and staff are invited to stop by the CEI for nachos and to craft a “nicho” to honor someone whom they would like to commemorate on the “Altar de Muertos.”
For those who cannot make it at this time, materials and art supplies will be available throughout the week in the CEI.
“Cafe con Leche: Día de los Muertos” | Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. in the CEI
This is an opportunity for students to practice their Spanish and talk about the Day of the Dead with others. Coffee and sweet bread will be provided.
“Let’s talk about the Altar de Muertos” | Oct. 25 at noon in the CEI
Come learn about the altar’s origins, significance and spirituality. Refreshments will be provided.
