Lord,
be close to the students
who move today into Marquette’s residence halls.
We ask your blessing for them.
Be their shelter when they are in these residences,
their companion when they are away,
and their welcome guest when they return.
Strengthen them in their academic work
and keep watch over them in this place of living and learning.
Be in this home as you prepare for them a dwelling
in your Father’s house,
where you live for ever and ever.
