Marquette University mourns the loss of Diane Werle, who passed away last Friday, May 24, at the age of 60. Werle was a tax and compliance manager in the Office of Finance (Office of the Comptroller).
Werle joined the university in September 1997 and has spent the last 22 years in various accounting roles within the Office of the Comptroller.
Werle will be remembered fondly for delivering fresh cream puffs to her colleagues each year during the Wisconsin State Fair and for making beautiful quilted and sewn gifts for several finance employees upon the birth of children and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 30, at 7 p.m. at Schaff Funeral Home. A visitation will take place prior to the service, starting at 4 p.m. A full obituary is available online.
A prayer service to celebrate Werle’s life will also be held on campus this Thursday, May 30, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Family.
Please remember Werle, her family and friends in prayer.
