After a six-month search process, including several candidate interviews, the search committee to identify the next chief information officer will extend its search, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Joel Pogodzinski announced today.
“Information technology services are vital to the day-to-day operations of a university, so it is imperative that we identify the right individual to lead this important function,” Pogodzinski said. “Extending our timeline is necessary to a successful search. We are fortunate to have strong leadership in IT Services who will continue to deliver excellent service to the entire campus community.”
Search committee member Lora Strigens, vice president for planning and facilities management, will chair the committee going forward as Dr. Iqbal Ahamed is stepping down. All other committee members will remain. Pogodzinski says he is grateful to Ahamed for his leadership and to the committee for their continued service.
