The Office of International Education will host Umut Acar to present “Turkey’s Enterprising and Humanitarian Foreign Policy” on Thursday, May 2, at noon in the AMU, Henke Lounge.
Umut Acar has served as the Consul General in Chicago since 2015. Previously, Acar served as MFA, Chief of Staff. He joined the Turkish Foreign Ministry in 1998 and has held positions with the Turkish Permanent Mission to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France, the Turkish Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany and the Turkish Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria. Acar graduated from Gazi University, International Relations Department in Ankara.
