The Women’s Innovation Network (WIN), Marquette University Student Government (MUSG) and Late Night Marquette will host a screening of the film “On the Basis of Sex” on Friday, March 29, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Varsity Theatre.
This movie portrays Ruth Bader Ginsburg as a struggling attorney and new mother who faces adversity and numerous obstacles in her fight for equal rights.
After the movie, there will be a discussion with Anna Fodor, assistant dean of students at Marquette Law School, and Rebecca Taibleson, a federal prosecutor and former law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia (who was a close friend to Justice Ginsburg). Dean Fodor and Attorney Taibleson will discuss legal issues raised in the film, as well as their own experiences in law school and the legal profession.
Registration is online.
