The Center for Peacemaking will host a 10-year anniversary celebration on Wednesday, March 27, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in AMU 227. A panel of faculty, alumni and students will share how their lives and work have been transformed by engaging with the Center for Peacemaking.
In January 2008, the Center for Peacemaking opened its doors for the first time. This marked the first academic center at Marquette (and at any Catholic university in the nation) expressly committed to exploring the power of nonviolence. 10 years later, the center’s impact is clear. Peace education has transformed the lives of Marquette students, and Marquette peacemaking initiatives have addressed indignities in Milwaukee and around the globe.
