The Haggerty’s Museum of Art’s “WaterMarks” program is a public art project developed by artist Mary Miss and funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The goal of the project is to bring awareness of issues related to water sustainability through a collaboration of art and science.
Milwaukee is at the center of several bodies of water—it plays a key role in the city’s history, identity and economy. The WaterMarks project seeks to help the Milwaukee community explore and understand the water systems that support it.
