The Haggerty Museum of Art will host a panel discussion on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. focused on one of its spring 2019 exhibitions, “The Great Lakes Cycle.”
The Great Lakes Cycle by Alexis Rockman explores the past, present and future of North America’s Great Lakes–one of the world’s most emblematic and ecologically significant ecosystems. Read more about The Great Lakes Cycle online.
Panelists include:
- Alexis Rockman, artist of The Great Lakes Cycle exhibition
- Dr. Jill Leonard, professor of biology at Northern Michigan University (Dr. Leonard worked closely with Rockman on the development of The Great Lakes Cycle)
- Dan Egan, prize-winning author of “The Death and Life of the Great Lakes”
- (Moderator) Dana Friis-Hansen, director and CEO at the Grand Rapids Art Museum and curator of the exhibition
The event is free and open to the public. The Great Lakes Cycle exhibition will be on view at the Haggerty from Feb. 8 through May 19, 2019.
